Alice Munro (July 10, 1931– May 13, 2024)

Alice Munro was a Canadian writer known for her short story collections centering on the ordinary lives of people, including "Lives of Girls and Women" and "The Progress of Love".  A number of her short stories have been adapted for film, such as "The Bear Came Over the Mountain" and "Runaway."  Her works won many literary awards, including the 2013 Nobel Prize in Literature.
