What is a listening session?

What?

Listening sessions are gatherings that encourage conversations centered around a specific topic. The idea is to bring together a group of individuals with varied perspectives and experiences to engage in a facilitated discussion.

Why?

Each one of us has our own unique perspectives and experiences that influence the way in which we interact with others. Listening Sessions will allow for staff with varied perspectives and experiences come together to Learn. Grow. Connect.

How?

Listening sessions will be offered both as in-person and virtual opportunities.

Required?

No, the DEIA Specialists encourage everyone to make an effort to participate but these sessions are not mandatory. Managers may not require a staff member to attend a listening session as mandatory training.

Ground Rules
